SPLENDOR meets COUNTLESS: exploring synergies for a circular bioeconomy

As part of its commitment to advancing sustainable and circular bio-based solutions, the SPLENDOR project is closely aligned with other European initiatives working towards similar goals. Among them, COUNTLESS stands out as a sister project sharing complementary ambitions in the valorisation of lignocellulosic biomass and the transition to a more sustainable industry.

Funded under the same European framework, COUNTLESS focuses on unlocking the full potential of lignin by developing innovative pathways to transform this abundant and underutilised resource into high-value bio-based products. While SPLENDOR explores the depolymerisation and purification of lignin streams to generate bio-aromatics and sustainable chemicals, COUNTLESS investigates alternative valorisation routes, creating strong complementarities between the two projects.
